Young Writers Committee

The Young Writers Committee, established during PEN International's 90th Congress in Oxford in September 2024, is dedicated to fostering the active participation of writers under 35 within PEN's global network.

This committee aims to integrate young voices into PEN's decision-making processes, ensuring their perspectives contribute to the organisation's mission of promoting literature and defending freedom of expression.

The committee builds upon historic initiatives like the Tomorrow Club and Young PEN, striving to create a supportive community that amplifies emerging writers worldwide.
