İLKYAZ

İlkyaz is a monthly literary platform showcasing the work of young Turkish writers, launched with the support of PEN International, PEN Norway and PEN Turkey. İlkyaz, which means spring, aims to connect emerging writers with more established names, and help them find readers around the world.

İlkyaz features works from writers under 35 years of age, a photo blog with brief insights into their daily lives, book recommendations by renowned Turkish authors along with excerpts from their early work, extracts from world literature and a section highlighting the works of writers of 15 and under, whose voices are rarely heard.

Each month, the works are translated into English and another language through partnership with PEN Centres.
