The importance of the art of translation is at the heart of the PEN charter, which champions the unhampered transmission of thought within each nation and between all nations; beyond national and linguistic borders and beyond conventional literary expectations. Profile
Graduated from the University of Cádiz with a PhD in American literature and a BA in English, and from the University of Granada with an MA in Translation and Interpreting, Jesús is a freelance translator and a lecturer/researcher at the University of Cadiz, Spain, where he teaches English literature and linguistics. Jesús translates into Spanish for PEN.
