2022 TLRC & WWC Meeting and Asia-Pacific Network Meeting: Literary Justice for All – Yangon, Myanmar

We are glad to inform you that the annual meeting of the Translation and Linguistic Rights Committee (TLRC) and Women Writers Committee (WWC) of PEN International will take place in Yangon, Myanmar in December 2022.

The meeting will address issues regarding LITERARY JUSTICE FOR ALL: TOLERANCE THROUGH DIVERSITY. A meeting of Asia-Pacific Centres will take place in December 2022.

Please consult the provisional programme schedule. We would like to connect the Asia-Pacific Centres’ experience in preserving Tolerance through Diversity with similar projects in other parts of the world.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION:

Working languages for the meeting: English and Burmese.

Visa: Most of the participants will need a visa to travel to Myanmar but the whole process can be completed online. It is very simple and takes around 3 days for your visa to be issued. Please consult our Visa Guidance.

1) Participants have to register through the Centres’ Organising team to secure a discounted price at the partner hotel. If you wish to book directly with the hotel you will not receive the discount.

2) Any charges associated with the payment should be covered by the participants.
