PEN International is awarded We invest in people, standard accreditation

15 March: PEN International is delighted to have been awarded We invest in people, an accreditation which officially recognizes the organisations’ commitment to principles and practices aimed at supporting everyone in the workplace.

Awarded by Investors in People, a standard for people management offering accreditation to organisations that adhere to the Investors in People Standard, We invest in people is the result of a thorough assessment of PEN International’s workplace culture, specifically in areas around employee engagement, communication, organisational culture and work practices.

Paul Devoy, CEO of Investors in People, said: ‘We’d like to congratulate Pen International. Being accredited with We invest in people is a remarkable effort for any organisation, and places PEN International in fine company with a host of organisations that understand the value of people.

Over the last 30 years, Investors in People have accredited more than 50,000 organisations. Today, their Investors in People accreditation is recognised in 66 countries around the world, making it the global benchmark when it comes to people management.

As demonstrated by Investors in People’s research, investing in people is not only the right thing to do, but also an essential step in delivering sustainable results, especially in a crisis. Organisations that lead, support and develop their workforce effectively are 17% more productive and 21% more profitable.

Commenting on the award, Emmanuel Asamoah, PEN International Finance, HR and Admin Director, said: ‘The accreditation is a step in the right direction for the organisation in making work better. We believe that the success of PEN International begins and ends with people. If we make work better for everyone, we make work better for every organisation. And if we do that… we make society stronger, healthier and happier’.
