The coalition has serious concerns about the severe restrictions on freedom of opinion and expression and the continuing practice of incommunicado detention without trial of writers and journalists in Eritrea. These concerns were outlined in PEN International’s two previous reports for the 2009 and 2013 Universal Periodic Reviews (UPR) of Eritrea.
